Production Supervisor - Machining

At Norlands, we combine advanced digital and flexographic printing technologies with expert in-house design to help businesses showcase their products with eye-catching, functional packaging. We are looking for a qualified Production Supervisor- Machining to join our team.

Pay rate: $35/hrs

Hours per week: 40
Location: 2942, 190 St, Surrey, BC V3S 9V2

 

As a Production Supervisor – Machining, you will play a vital role in overseeing day-to-day operations on the production floor, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met. Your responsibilities will include:

 

• Preparing and submitting detailed production and performance reports
• Analyzing workflow and recommending process improvements to optimize productivity and product quality
• Resolving production issues, offering technical guidance to staff, and implementing effective solutions
• Establishing and maintaining daily and weekly work schedules to meet delivery targets
• Coordinating and conducting employee training to support operational excellence and growth
• Monitoring workplace safety, enforcing compliance with health and safety standards
• Recommending staffing actions such as hiring, evaluations, and discipline
• Managing inventory by requisitioning materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
• Assisting with the setup and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operation
• Supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the activities of machine operators and production workers
• Continuously identifying and implementing measures to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall product quality

 

Job requirements:

 

Education: At leasthigh school diploma
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing. Working experience in similar industries (corrugated, paper box) is an asset.

Language of work: English

Work site environment: Noisy/Dusty

Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear

Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Organized, Reliability
