We are currently looking for a Child Caregiver-Private Home to take care of our child. Please see the following employment information.
Job Details:
- Salary: $20 per hour
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- The employee is required to be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends. Overtime may be required. Hours will vary from day, night and evenings.
- Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent-free
- Work Location: 74 Seneca Hill Drive, North York, ON M2J 2W5
- Employment Expected to Start on: As Soon As Possible
Job Duties:
- Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment for the child.
- Prepare meal and snack selections for the child.
- Plan and supervise structured, educational activities, and playtime for the child.
- Provide educational training based on the child’s age, including out-door and in-door activities, games, reading, etc.
- Take care of the child's emotional and psychological well-being, as well as the child’s social development.
- Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents.
- Keep up-to-date records of child’s development, routines, and interest.
- When necessary, administer first-aid or CPR to the child.
Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary (High) School education is required
- Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset
- First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate would be an asset
- Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
