Taiga Building Products is hiring a full-time, permanent Administrative Assistant for our Dartmouth branch, reporting to the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Open and distribute mail and other materials
- Plan and control budget and expenditures
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Determine and establish office procedures and routines
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Answer electronic enquiries
- Compile data, statistics and other information
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
- Perform data entry
- Provide customer service
- Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field
- Maintain and manage digital database
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks
- Administrative and office activities
- Verify accuracy and completeness of data
- Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services
- Organize tasks to accomplish the work
- Manage accounts payable
- Document and prepare invoices and work orders.
- Coordinate the flow of information within the team
