Responsibilities
Tasks
- Coordinate the activities of the HR department in order to ensure they meet the organization’s goals
- Motivate staff
- Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations
- Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
- Manage training and development strategies
- Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
- Respond to employee questions and complaints
- Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
- Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
- Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
- Operate information retrieval systems to research and extract records
- Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
- Arrange for in house and external staff training
- Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans
- Ensure compliance with government regulations
- Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions
- Provide established workers with information and strategies for dealing with job dissatisfaction, making mid-career changes and adjusting to workplace transitions
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
