Paper Converting Machine Operator
E.B. Box Company has been a trusted manufacturer of custom and standard folding carton boxes since 1972. With advanced in-house capabilities, including die cutting, printing, and gluing. They produce a wide range of packaging solutions for computer software, cosmetics, food products, electronics, toys, pharmaceuticals, automotive parts, bakery, take-out containers, business card boxes, and more.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and adjust feeder, prefold, glue system, final fold, delivery, stacker, and pack station.
Ensure consistent machine operation, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary adjustments to optimize production.
Monitor production quality, ensuring the finished product meets specifications.
Maintain optimum machine speed and detect malfunctions promptly.
Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machinery and the work area
Handle and transport raw materials and finished products using industrial trucks or hand trucks.
Maintain accurate production and operational data.
Train co-workers in machine operation and processes.
Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience operating Bobst folder/gluers an asset.
Carton pack experience required
Basic computer skills.
Self-motivated, able to work independently or within a team.
Physically fit
Salary: We offer a range from $26.00 to $32.00 / hour based on qualifications
Bonus: Potential bonus of up to 15% of annual salary, at the discretion of the employer.
Benefits: Probation 3 Months, Health Benefits start 6 months after first day of work
Job Type: Full-time permanent, we guarantee a minimum of 32 hours per week
Language: An intermediate understanding of English/French is required.
