Job Description:
A daytime in-home caregiver is needed for a senior couple living in Maple, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent position with a starting wage of $21/hour, which can be negotiated based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care tasks, including exercise routines and hygiene.
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals, ensuring they are nutritious and suitable for the seniors' needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe home environment.
- Oversee and administer medications as instructed.
- Monitor the seniors’ health conditions and promptly report any changes.
- Support mobility by assisting with doctor’s appointments, daily outings, and social events.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to ensure the seniors’ safety and mental well-being.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- At least six months of work experience in elderly care OR completion of a recognized training program in caregiving for the elderly or persons with disabilities.
- Proficiency in English.
- An Ontario driver’s license is considered an asset.
- Fluency in Mandarin is an asset.
