Hours worker per week: 30 hr/week
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, or other related fields: social services worker, mental health or psychology
Language Requirements: English
Experience:
- 3 years’ experience in outreach, program coordination, case management or social work, ideally in a religious and/or community-based setting
- Experience working with diverse cultural groups and creating safe and supportive spaces for personal and spiritual growth is an asset
Terms of Employment: Permanent/full time - morning, evening, day, weekend
Start date: As soon as possible

Work conditions:
- This role involves collaboration with church leadership, volunteers, and community members. Flexibility is required to accommodate some evening or weekend activities

- Strong connection to the Christian faith and ability to integrate spiritual principles into outreach efforts.
- Demonstrated commitment to nurturing the spiritual needs of clients through prayer, biblical counsel, and mentorship.
- Ability to plan and implement tailored programs to meet the diverse needs of members and the community.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, public speaking, and advocacy skills to connect community members with essential resources
- Familiarity with anti-oppressive practices and cultural humility to serve individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills
- Sensitivity to the unique needs of specific demographic groups, including newcomers and seniors and ability to maintain confidential information considered an asset
- Strong active listening and empathetic problem-solving abilities.

JOB DUTIES:
- Develop and coordinate outreach initiatives that address members and community needs and align with the church’s mission.
- Collaborate with church leadership and external partners to create impactful initiatives that will cater to the spiritual, emotional physical, and social well-being of members and the community.
- Conduct intake assessment to evaluate members/clients' strengths and areas for development in relation to their skills and needs to create goals and develop appropriate action plans.
- Conduct case management duties to assess client’s progress and address concerns or challenges.
- Facilitate information session such as financial literacy, employability skills, and spiritual wellness.
- Provide guidance and support to individuals and families, including referrals to housing, employment, and other essential services.
- Build relationships with local organizations to strengthen community impact and expand available resources.
- Host empowerment circles that offer a safe, faith-based space for individuals to share, grow, and build resilience.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with outreach programs and events.
- Track program outcomes by maintaining accurate records, documenting success stories to demonstrate impact, and preparation of reports.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned based on program requirements.
