We are currently searching for a Bricklayer Helper.

 

Duties:

  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Mix, pour and spread materials
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
  • Erecting walls and building roofs
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
  • Assist heavy equipment operators
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants

 

Equipment and Machinery Experience:

Screeds Mortar and concrete mixers, Bushing guns, Beltcretes Bobcats, Circular Saws Grouting machine, Construction Specialization Sidewalks, and curbs Residential, Weight Handling More than 45 kg (100 lbs.)

 

Own Tools/Equipment: Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Gloves, trowel, shoveler, pencil, tape, belt with hammer

 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling

 

Work Setting: Residential

 

Requirements:

  • Six months of work experience in construction
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Work at heights and  on scaffolding

 

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position/40 hours per week

 

Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday  from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Friday  from 7: 30 am to 3:30 pm

English

Various locations in the GTA
